Dublin to Solent via Lundy

Approximately 450 nautical miles, with an offshore leg to Lundy, climbing and a south-coast passage home.

    Dublin · changeover begins

    Andy arrives at around 10:30. The previous Belfast to Dublin crew may still be aboard, with their leaving details TBC. There is no need for all Trip 3 crew to arrive on Wednesday.

  2. Thu 17 Sep

    Dublin · provisioning and preparation

    Crew changeover continues. Trip 3 crew can join during the day.

  3. Fri 18 Sep

    Dublin → Lundy

    An early join is still possible before departure. This is the longest offshore leg and will probably take 24–30 hours.

    Arrive Lundy

    Arrival, settle in and recover from the passage.

  5. Sun 20 & Mon 21

    Lundy · climbing and exploring 🧗

    Two days for climbing, exploring the island and retaining some flexibility around the weather.

  6. Tue 22 Sep

    Lundy → Newlyn/Penzance

    A likely overnight passage to west Cornwall.

    Newlyn/Penzance · George joins

    Arrival in west Cornwall. George joins for the later section, with final details TBC.

  8. Thu 24 Sep

    Newlyn → River Yealm

    Continue east along the south coast.

    Approximately 50–55 nm
  9. Fri 25 Sep

    River Yealm → Torbay

    A shorter coastal leg into Torbay.

    Approximately 30–35 nm
  10. Sat 26 Sep

    Torbay → Portland

    Continue east to Portland.

    Approximately 45 nm
  11. Sun 27 Sep

    Portland → Solent

    The planned final passage home into the Solent.

    Approximately 55–60 nm

    Weather allowance and latest planned arrival in the Solent.

Joining note

No rush to arrive on the 16th

Because the Trip 2 crew may still be aboard in Dublin, joining on Thursday 17 September or early on Friday 18 September is absolutely fine.
